LOGO IDEAS

A logo is essential to games as well as most other products, it is very important and can affect the success of said products. Logos are important because they not only must sell the game or product but represent the brand in a credible way. Our logo must do this by not only being eye catching and unique thus creating more attention from our target audience, but it must also fit in with the theme and style of the game. 

First some designs for a placeholder logo were mocked up. Placeholders are useful because they can help us decide where we want our logo in certain areas from design pages up to the actual in game UI. These two were used at first.

These were usefully and simple strong logos, however once we had decided placements etc we wanted to go into more detail for the logo that we also wanted to use as a title. as a group we decided to focus on the actual word Jongleur rather than imagery. This is what our GUI Artist came up with as a concept. 


FINAL LOGO CONCEPT

This concept is a strong design and as a group we decided it was one we wanted to use going forward. It is eye catching but still functional and easily legible, it also reflects our game as it uses the candle and flame that is prominent throughout as well as the mustache above the u in jongleur. The logo also reflects the them of our game due to its grandeur to represent the glitz and glamour of Victorian theater. This concept will be used to work on and come up with the final logo for our game.
